Second Winner- Very Special Story

"A special gift for being a mom is the kindest thing someone could ever do for somebody."
- from our winner, Jessica

Congrats! We officially have our second winner! Remember with more donations we have more winners!

Please Meet: Jessica W.

Age: 19 years old

Child's Age: 20 months

Child's Name: Christian

Her Story: I'm Your typical teenager., but I have to admit I have grown up. I had to give up my teenage years and think of something more worth fighting for. At the age of 17 I became pregnant with my son Christian, December 18th 2008 shortly two months after my 18 birthday my son was born. I was married to a US soldier in 2008 for less then a year but that ended suddenly When I got pregnant with my 2nd child. In September of 2009 I had a 2nd son Conor at only 29 weeks pregnant. He only lived for a short two weeks - he is greatly missed and loved. Im going to school in Setember for my GED and I will be able to graduate in October. Unfortenatly I did not get to graduate from highschool When I became pregnant with my son Christian due to reasons that are personal. As soon as my GED is over with i'm enrolling to start classes for my bachelors degree in nursing. I have been a single mother since my son Christian was 5 months old. Yes I have family and friends, but I've been doing this on my own and it's been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I currently am trying to work my way through school and survive through every obsticle that god throws in front of me. I can be lazy at times, but for my son I will achieve every dream and goal I have to give him a better life. Just so I can help give him the best life possible.   I do not want to be pittied or have someone feel sorry for me because of what ive been through. I can't say that I deserve this there are millions of other parents out there that deserve this so much more than I do. I usually dont ask for help but this is something that would be truely appriciated.

Her Hopes & Dreams: My hopes and dreams are that one day I will be able to finish college and become a nurse in the NICU and understand what the nurses went through taking care of my son Conor who passed away & the commitment of helping to save a life. But all my hopes and dreams go to my son. I want my son Christian to live a long healthy, happy life and enjoy every minute of it and never take a second of it for granted. I want him to achieve every dream he has for himself and never let anyone bring him down.
